It's Time to Celebrate Our 2025 Publishing Achievements
As we close the book on 2025 (pun absolutely intended), we’re excited to reflect on everything we accomplished together. From launching new titles to expanding into audiobooks and strengthening partnerships, this year proved that great stories—and the people who bring them to life—are what motivates us to do what we … well … do.
So grab your favorite reading beverage, settle in, and join us as we count down our Top 10 Achievements of 2025!
10. A Hero Awakens Takes Flight in Audio
We kicked off our audiobook journey with A Hero Awakens (Pillow-Man book 1) by Blake Hoena and Nate Burns, brilliantly voice by Jared Ditman. Hearing Sam DeVenoe’s super-powered pillow adventures come to life through audio was the perfect way to introduce listeners to this quirky superhero series!
9. The Howl from the Hole
We’ve partnered with Skywater Publishing Cooperative on several books in the past. They acquire great stories like Chris Everheart’s The Howl from the Hole (Devil Falls book 1), and we help bring them to you with the book layout and print production.
8. Blood Drawn & Hung Out to Dry
We’ve continued our yearly tradition of releasing a poetry book for National Poetry Month. Charlotte Agustin’s powerful poetry collection speaks to the heart with raw honesty about love, grief, and those moments of clarity that pierce through heartbreak.
7. The Stray Pitch Hits Audiobook Shelves
Mystery lovers rejoiced when we released the audiobook of The Stray Pitch (A Wendy Winkworth Mystery) by Marilyn Bos. Narrator Sherri Slater not only capture Wendy’s snarkiness, but truly brings this story to life. And there’s nothing quite like a good whodunit to keep you company on your commute!
6. Escape from Atlantis City
Yet another partnership with Skywater Publishing Cooperative. Scott R. Welvaert’s Escape from Atlantis City (Lost Zenith book 2) continues Ian Wilder’s genre mashup of an adventure through the multiverse.
5. The Last Stop Audiobook
Michael Loyd Gray’s gripping tale came alive in audio thanks to the exceptional production of Joel Terkeurst. The Last Stop follows Police Chief Art Millage as he faces a manhunt tied to his past—a second chance to confront the consequences of taking a life in the line of duty. Powerful, haunting, and unforgettable.
4. Sam DeVenoe’s Nemesis Arrives
2025 brought us Nemesis, the second installment in the Pillow-Man series. Every superhero needs a worthy adversary, and Sam DeVenoe may have met his match. But who is his nemesis? Is it Brock the school bully? Brock’s brother Luke? Or a mysterious new supervillain?
3. Chasing AllieCat—Narrated by the Author Herself
Rebecca Fjelland Davis brought her own thrilling mountain biking mystery to life in audio format, reading Chasing AllieCat. When Sadie, Allie, and Joe discover a priest, badly beaten and near death, in the woods, they’re plunged into a dark mystery—and Rebecca’s voice made every twist even more gripping.
2. Death of the Party Begins a Spooky New Series
The October release of Death of the Party, book one in The Hair-Raiser series, was a timely Halloween read. When Cecilia “Sissy” Wardwell discovers an antique hairpin that lets her see ghosts, readers discovered their new favorite middle-grade horror series. And author Thomas Kingsley Troupe is an actual paranormal investigator!
1. A Death Never Lived
Our number one moment of 2025? The September release of Clifford Evan’s A Death Never Lived. Jesse Jordan’s going-nowhere life—delivering pizzas, sketching monsters, and running dirty money—takes a mystical turn when he meets Taria, a girl literally from his dreams.
Happy Reading, and Happy New Year!
