Our FishingKids project is moving along quite well, and we’re beginning to see the initial sketches. Here are the mock up of the cover (fonts not final).

Along with some fun art, we’re calling out informational text and illustrations. They are shown as notebook entries, drawn and written in Spinner’s hand. He’s the main character and pictured above.
The notebook entries include information about various fish mentioned in the book, as well as rigs to use for catching fish and other fishing equipment. It’s a subtle way of adding educational information without sounding instructional.
